lil book i made in ceramics class

it's only important to document cause i sold it, also im kinda sad the little flame-y symbol i etched on the cover didn't show up too well after the glazing, arts,

homestuck sketches!

(most of these look so much better on paper omfg. pictures straight from sketchbook, some are skewed or blurry & all of ‘em lost contrast in the picture-taking process. >_<)

Back in October, we had an assignment to do something 3-D on a canvas with crayons. Most people hot-glued crayons to the canvas & melted them with a hair drier (you should see my brother’s, it turned out really awesome!!); I decided to spend the rest of the month cutting up cardboard to make this. (hhhhh)

The background is melted crayon wax with some oil pastel & acrylic paint details. Deer is cardboard (it was supposed to be paper sculpture but I’m not sure if it still counts as that??). He sticks about half an inch off the canvas, and has unfortunately suffered a few bends that you can see in the pictures above but aren’t quite as noticeable irl.

arts, also one of my first times drawing/etc. a deer, their frikkin legs are such a pain to work with, especially when you have to cur like FOUR LAYERS OF THEm out of a cardboard sheet, my stupid x-acto knife blade broke like three times when i was making this too :P, but maybe that was my fault for being stupid with how i used it,

clay dragon i made in ceramics class about 2 months ago.

also an experiment with gloss on velvet underglaze, which turned out really great! i’m gonna try it again with another project that i’m gonna start glazing tomorrow. :)
